EduBox (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our mobile application EduBox (“App”)

1. Data Collection and Usage

We collect and use the following types of data only as necessary for the core features of the app, and only with your consent:

⚠️ Important: We never access your files, location, microphone, or camera in the background, and no permission is used unless you choose to enable a related feature.

2. Data Collection and Usage

We collect and process data only for the purposes you explicitly agree to, and only when using optional features:

  • Photos/Media/Audio: Used only when uploading or viewing educational materials.
  • Location: Used only if you choose to use location-based services.
  • Audio/Camera: Used only during active use of voice/video features.

We do not collect data silently or in the background. All data usage is disclosed and user-initiated.

3. Third-Party Services

EduBox integrates third-party services that may process data as part of optional features:

  • Firebase (Google) – For crash logging, notifications, and cloud storage.
  • Google Maps API – Used for location-based educational services (optional).
  • Facebook SDK – Used for social login features.

These services are declared in our Data Safety section on the Stores and comply with Store’s user data policies. No SDK is used for advertising or profiling without user consent.

We follow Store’s Prominent Disclosure and Consent guidelines:

  • Each permission is requested in context, at the time it is needed.
  • We display a clear explanation of how the data will be used.
  • The user can decline any permission without affecting unrelated features.

You may revoke any granted permission via your device’s Settings at any time.

5. Data Security

  • All communication is encrypted via HTTPS.
  • We do not share, sell, or monetize your data.
  • Data collected via optional features is only retained as long as needed and only with user consent.

6. Children’s Privacy

If EduBox is used by children, we comply with Google’s Designed for Families policy:

  • We do not use unauthorized SDKs or behavioral advertising.
  • All data collection is subject to parental or guardian consent.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

You may request deletion of your data by contacting us. We will respond to requests in compliance with applicable law.
